What is this blog about?

G’day! Hello! Annyeong Haseo! Konnichiwa!

I believe that food is the key to the door of another culture.

I am interested in foodways: why we eat what we do (and where), and how these traditions come into being. Specifically, I am in love with Korean and Japanese food. I am blessed that my home city of Adelaide has an amazing Chinatown that is packed with authentic tastes, so I will be sure to discuss these. However, I have been well and truly bitten by that travel bug so I like to share cuisines from their original source – visiting Korea and Japan to find new taste experiences.

Join me on this gastronomic adventure as we learn together!
